Visitor Guidelines

  • Children below the age of 12 are not allowed into patient's rooms.

  • Visitors are asked to wash their hands/use the hand sanitiser/gel, on entering and leaving the ward.

  • Zero Tolerance policy on violence against staff expects that all visitors will treat staff with respect and politeness. An acceptable standard of behavior is expected and if this is not met the visitor may be asked to leave.

  • Refrain from visiting patients if you have any illnesses such as vomiting and/or diarrhoea, coughs, colds or flu-like symptoms and any infectious conditions e.g. chicken pox, mumps etc.

  • Please do not sit on the patient bed or touch the surgical sites, dressings or any tubing's attached with patient (IV cannula, urinary catheter etc.)

  • Patient attendant visit's to be limited to one person for each patient at any given point of time.

  • Patient attendants are requested to follow hospital visitor's policy.

  • Visitors may be asked to leave the ward during medical ward rounds.

  • Do not bring flowers/ fruits/ food for the patients as these may carry infection.

  • Within Paediatric Ward and Neo Natal Unit/Special Care Baby Unit parents and carers of children are allowed to visit at any time over the 24 hour period. No children will be allowed in the Neo Natal Unit/Special Care Baby Unit. Numbers are restricted due to infection control issues.

  • Do not litter. Use black bag for disposal of general waste.

  • Strictly adhere to visitor's policy to provide safer environment to your patient.

  • Nurse will hand over your discharge summary and belongings (like reports, thermometer, urinal bedpan, etc. - used during the course of your stay). She will also explain the medications you need to continue after your discharge and any other follow-up instructions.

  • In case you need a medical ambulance to drop you at your home, then please inform your nurse and she will make the necessary arrangements.

  • Doctors may give the patient an appointment for follow-up at the Specialist Outpatient Clinic. Doctor will call the patient after leaving the hospital for regular checkups in order to measure patient fitness after medication.

  • Patient can also book appointment from online through mobile and computers. Outstation patients can also take consultation on phone. All of the doctors are also available for phone consultation services.

  • Patient needs to take prior appointment for Phone consultation. We will give you Universal ID with which your details will be registered. Your medical record folder will be retained with the hospital. If the patient wants then we can give the copies of the reports and everything for his own records.
